Privacy
RestoSketch is designed to keep project information under the customer’s control, with local storage and optional backup destinations selected by the user.
This policy describes the privacy approach built into the current RestoSketch product. Before public release, business contact details and any final third-party service disclosures should be reviewed for the production configuration.
1. Project data
RestoSketch can store project information such as customer and property details, claim or loss information, room scans and sketches, measurements, notes, moisture readings, equipment records, plan markers, project photos and scan photos. Projects can remain on the user’s device unless the user chooses a backup, export, sharing, or cloud feature.
2. Storage and backup choices
RestoSketch is designed to offer multiple storage paths. Depending on the feature and device configuration, a user may keep projects locally, select personal or company-controlled storage such as iCloud Drive, Google Drive, OneDrive or SharePoint, choose a company file server or shared folder, or use optional RestoSketch Cloud services.
When a user selects a third-party storage provider, files sent to that destination are also subject to that provider’s privacy and security practices. RestoSketch does not control the policies of third-party storage providers.
3. Account and team services
If a user creates a RestoSketch account, signs in, joins a team, or uses RestoSketch Cloud, account identifiers and service data necessary to operate those features may be transmitted to RestoSketch’s hosted service providers. This can include an email address, display name, organization or team association, authentication information handled by the authentication service, and metadata needed to provide cloud backup and restore.
4. Photos and camera access
Camera access is used for supported scanning, measuring, project photography, equipment workflows, and related capture features. Scan photos can stay with the project. RestoSketch only saves a copy to the system Photos library when the user chooses to do so or enables an applicable save workflow.
5. Location
Location may be used when the user chooses to identify, map, or pin a property. RestoSketch does not need continuous location tracking for ordinary project use. A property pin can be saved with a project when the user chooses that feature.
6. Support sharing
RestoSketch may offer an optional support-sharing workflow that creates a temporary support copy of a project. Support copies are separate from the customer’s normal backup destination and are created only through a support-sharing action. Retention controls shown in the app should be followed for these copies.
7. Deletion
Deleting a local project removes the local project data according to the app’s current behavior. If a backup copy exists, the app can apply the user’s selected backup-deletion setting where the connected destination allows it. Copies previously exported or shared outside RestoSketch may remain with the destination or recipient.
8. Security
RestoSketch uses platform security features and secure network connections for hosted services. No system can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their device, cloud accounts, and company storage with strong authentication and appropriate access controls.
9. Children
RestoSketch is a professional field application and is not directed to children under 13.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as RestoSketch’s production services, App Store release, and cloud options evolve. The effective date at the top of this page will change when the policy is materially updated.
